ALAN BENNETT is a musician, singer, songwriter, performer, record producer and music publisher from Stony Brook, Long Island, New York, now, based in Nashville, Tennessee.

As a music instructor and coach, Alan Bennett works with a range of clients from amateurs and beginners to established and emerging recording artists, singers, songwriters, bands and touring and studio musicians worldwide, and is a faculty member of The National Guitar Workshop and WorkshopLive.

Experience:

As a studio and touring musician, Bennett has worked with a long list of artists including Rock & Roll Hall of Famer and Grammy Award-winner, Leon Russell, having sung background harmony vocals on his 2007 record release, "Angel In Disguise."

As a singer/songwriter, Alan has appeared on radio and television stations and at premier music venues across the U.S., released four independent records, and has been a regular performer at New York's The Bitter End, CBGB's, Wetlands Preserve, The Living Room and Mercury Lounge and Nashville's The Basement, The Bluebird Cafe, Mercy Lounge, 12th & Porter and The Listening Room.

As a host/performer, his Alan Bennett & Friends: Live Concert Series features intimate, in-the-round style performances with a wide range of established and emerging recording artists and songwriters. As a writer/producer, Bennett has worked on projects with Haden Carpenter (Big Smo, A&E), Amy Wilcox (Crazy Hearts: Nashville, A&E), Tara O'Grady, Sam Hunter, The Worsties, The Wailin' Canes, Ben Cyllus and The LiNE (Hailey Steele and Leland Grant, The Voice, NBC) and Linda Emerson, and has enjoyed fourteen (14) song synchs on primetime network and cable television stations including FOX (The Good Guys), MTV (Real World: St. Thomas), A&E (Big Smo, Crazy Hearts: Nashville) and Oxygen (Bad Girls Club). As a music professional, while in New York City (1996-2004), he spent four years working at Sony Music Entertainment. Keeping track of record producers, engineers, mixers and remixers worldwide for Sony's head of A&R, music legend, Peter Asher, he worked on many projects for Columbia Records, Epic Records, Sony Classical, Legacy Recordings, Word and C2 with executives in the A&R, international, promotion, business affairs and legal departments responsible for launching and guiding some of music's biggest recording artists including: Bob Dylan; Barbra Streisand; Tony Bennett; Harry Connick, Jr.; Maxwell; The Neville Brothers; Billy Joel; Bruce Springsteen; Pink Floyd; Mariah Carey; Jennifer Lopez; Marc Anthony; Destiny's Child; Beyonce; Kelly Rowland; Jessica Simpson; Jeff Buckley; John Mayer; Train and Five For Fighting.

All package deals are non-refundable. Play Guitar & Sing may, upon its own discretion, issue a refund in the event that a client expresses legitimate dissatisfaction with the services offered based on its performance of those services or in the event that Play Guitar & Sing fails to deliver the services offered within the package deal and the Cancellation/Rescheduling Policy.
